BS in Fire Science

To enroll in the Anna Maria Fire Science degree completion program, you must have an associate’s degree or at least 60 college credit hours; and have completed Firefighter 1 and 2 training. The Anna Maria College B.S. in Fire Science courses meet or exceed the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) National Professional Development Model. Coursework covers:

MPA with five specializations

No entrance exam or thesis is required to earn your online Master of Public Administration degree at Anna Maria College. You can transfer up to six credits or bring in at least four years of progressive, public administration work experience to waive up to two courses. Each specialization focuses on ethics, leadership, policy analysis and strategic planning.

  1. General MPA: Master the skills to lead at all levels of government. You’ll learn to analyze and implement policy, manage budgets, oversee expenditures and how to effectively communicate to and lead the masses.
  2. Criminal Justice: With a keen focus on public policy, the judicial system, and organizational leadership — the Criminal Justice specialization prepares you to become a police chief or other leader in law enforcement.
  3. Emergency Management: Learn what it takes to lead in a local, state or federal crisis with the skills to plan and direct disaster response or crisis management activities. You’ll also be able to provide disaster preparedness training, and prepare emergency plans and procedures.
